The PIR15 is a 1 Dimensional people counter that can also be used as a vehicle counter and includes a chime to alert of presence. As a 1D product, the PIR15 people counter uses basic sensing technology of a fan-shaped infrared beam that counts and chimes as objects pass through the detection area, regardless of direction. The sensor can be mounted overhead or on a wall and wirelessly transmits count data to an LCD display and remote annunciator chime. The LCD display and chime require line power while the sensing unit is battery-powered.
The PIR15 people counter is typically used to alert associates of the presence of entering customers or vehicles in a drive-thru. The chime has 4 volume settings: off, low, medium or high. The sensing unit includes a low battery indication tone and LED flash to prevent malfunctions.
